At the top of Mt Tam you do have to hike up a short trail to the
summit, but it is worth the view; it is a world class view.
Another world class view is to go out to the Marin Headlands on
Conzleman Road. From the road you can get a view of the Bay and
the city of San Francisco from over the cable of the Golden Gate
Bridge, the cable framing the city. Go even if there is fog; the
road will likely climb higher than the fog and you can get a
photo of the GGBridge towers rising out of the fog. Should the
city be out of the area of the fog, the photo might also include
a view of the city seen from above the fog as it shines in the
bright California sun.
