Mt. Pleasant, SC -- very close to Charleston, SC (or, if you want to be
nearer the beaches, quiet ones-- Isle of Palms, SC or Sullivan's Island,
SC). Shopping -- everything from Wal-Mart to upscale shops.
Restaurants -- lots of good ones! Golfing, boating. National forest
and National Wildlife Refuge nearby. Three nearby colleges, with their
cultural activities -- College of Charleston, The Citadel, Charleston
Southern. Wildlife Expo. Spoleto Festival. Is a stop on women's pro
tennis tour. Have a pro baseball team and pro soccer team. Active
theater scene. Nearby cities: Savannah, GA and Columbia, SC. Drawback
- it's hot.

My younger daughter and her family have lived in Mt. Pleasant for eleven
years and *love* it!
