If I remember correctly, Norm, you're going from San Francisco airport to
Monterey. You know, it's not very far from San Francisco airport to
Monterey. Recently I flew in to San Jose Airport, arrived at about 3:30 or 4
PM, and was in Monterey by 6. Maybe it's extra hour coming from SFO
(depending on the day of the week and time of day). But there's really no
need to stop along the way between San Francisco airport and Monterey. And
Salinas is off the direct route, so no reason to go there unless you want
to.
