As a bonus, the Red Roof Inns I have seen have all had interior
hallways, a plus in bad weather and for security. And they ssem to
usually be located in more busy areas than Motel 6 -- meaning a variety
of restaurants and other shopping within walking distance.

The last Motel 6 I stayed in, reserved by an interviewing company, was
near only a Denny's on the other side of a divided highway! I was
picked up at the airport by a company messenger, dropped at the motel
late afternoon, with no offer (or sight of) any of the interviewers
taking me to dinner. I took a cab into town for dinner, and noted a
Holiday Inn very close to my prospective employer. That told me quite
a bit. Next day's round of interviews I cut very short.
