Or stop in Cameron, and maybe see the Hopi Reservation, less than an hour east
on the way around.

If you can do it Bright Angel Lodge is probably my favorite. A little bit
rustic, but comfortable beds (no TV), less expensive and nicer than
Yavapai. Right on the Rim, too.
