Because French Indo China was occupied by the Japanese, and we (the
US) was supporting the resistance fighters and we furnished them with
a rather impressive amount of aid and supplies. Remember..it was one
of the worlds most important sources of rubber at that time, synthetic
rubber having not yet been invented or at least, not in wide spread
use.
Are you aware that a US medical team parachuted into Vietnam to save
the life of a very sick Ho Chi Minh ?
History is often fascinating

The two highest achievements of the human mind are the twin concepts of "loyalty" and "duty."
Whenever these twin concepts fall into disrepute -- get out of there fast! You may possibly
save yourself, but it is too late to save that society. It is doomed. " Lazarus Long |
