Update

Hi y'all. Well I did jasper today and the mystery is no more. Turns out
that there are two competing pizza joints - Jasper Pizza Place and the
North Face that are both viewed by a cross section of locals as the
sources of this community's poutine fame. We flipped a coin and tried
JPP. There, there were about 6 different poutine options - mozza,
cheddar, 3 cheese and even "Montreal Smoked Meat", butr for
connoisseurs, only the original curds will do. And they were good.

If we get back to North Slope, another update will appear.
