I always bring a plug in night light.

I hate stumbling around in the dark in a "strange room" should I need
to "answer the call" in the middle of the night. ;^)

I also always use foam ear plugs when traveling by plane. The ambient
noise of an aircraft interior in flight is quite high and is actually
fatiguing. I feel so much more alert and awake when I arrive at my
destination using them.
