Actually, chop sticks were invented for the same reason as the fork. To keep
the sharp knives away from the dining table.

For years flying out of Italy they've always asked the same question and
I've always given the same answer:
Q. Are you carrying a weapon or anything that could be construed to be a
weapon?
A. Anything can be a weapon.

They still let me fly.
