In reality, there are periods of the years where there isn't enough
daylight to allow both morning and evening commutes in daylight.

In terms of lack of sidewalks, it isn't just a big deal on residential
streets where traffic should be light and slow.

And if adults learned to walk, there would be far fewer cars on the road
and far less of an issue to let kids walk because they wouldn't be the
only ones to be walking. Unfortunatly, adults are brainwashed into
thinking that they are unable to use their legs to walk from A to B.
