Re: Montauk, Long Island car ferry.. Posted on: Thu, 22 Sep 2005 13:05:18 PDT

The Cross Sound Ferry to Orient Point runs all year. The ferry to Montauk
is passenger only. https://www.longislandferry.com/Default.asp

There is currently a fuel surcharge in effect. Ths cost for car and driver
one-way is $42, and adult passengers one-way is $12 ($6 for children). That
end of Long Island is sparsely populated and lightly traveled, at least
off-season, so the drive around to Montauk shouldn't take you very long.
