Hello...
Can someone from Lousiana or Mississippi areas give some info on
highway conditions along IH10 and IH12? Me and my wife are planning a
driving trip from Texas to Tampa Florida in February, and though we
normally just stick to IH10 I'm sure it's still not passable in New
Orleans area. The maps we're looking at show IH12 as a good
alternative route connecting back to IH10 around Slidell, but this
still goes oftly close to Gulfport and Biloxi which were also hit hard
by Katrina.
Just curious... if IH10 through this entire area will be out of
commission for a few months can someone suggest an alternative route?
Also please don't suggest flying as we love road trips and plus flying
is just way too expensive ($800 for two people compared to around $200
for gas to drive).
