Why in the hell would you bring a knife of any kind on a plane anyway?

The only time I flew since 9/11 I was apologizing for the following
items being in my luggage:
1. glasses repair kit
2. finger and toenail clippers
The guards said "don't worry sir, you are allowed to carry them".

I think that knives and things like exacto knives and box cutters
should be banned. STILL.

BTW, any drunk who threw a fit on a flight that I was on would not pose
a security risk. In fact, I would personally see to it that he spent
the rest of the flight unconscious. And when we reached the ground, I
would dare him to sue me.
