So? I could just walk into an airport, right through the metal
detector, pull a gun and start shooting and I guarantee you I'd do a lot
more damage then any terrorist with a 1" pocket knife in a plane.
I could kill someone with the stuff in my laptop bag if push came to
shove.
The goal is not to prevent you from injuring or killing a small number
of people, only physically restraining EVERYONE can accomplish that. The
goal is prevent the plane from being hijacked, and as lock as the
cockpit is properly secured and the pilots aren't completely retarded, a
pocket knife won't make any difference at all.
