People drive as they must according to the prevailing conditions around
them.

Was driving down the 405 on my way to San Diego from the Bay Area and it
was pouring rain (yup one of those rare days in SoCal) and I mean .ING
POURING RAIN and the traffic surrounding me was going 80+mph (that it was
around 2:00pm on a weekday allowed this speed!) and at first I kind of
tripped out but then I said what the . and went along with the traffic
and be damned with the pouring rain!
