I saw a book that may help you: "Speak American: A Survival Guide
to the Language and Culture of the USA." As it says, do not offer to
"knock her up" as that does not refer to a phone call, and you will not
find "bangers" on a menu. This book is listed on www.amazon.co.uk
for 4.57. But Americans do love English accents, so try to affect that
as much as possible. :-) =R=
