San Francisco is generally ranked as a much better vacation city than
LA; in fact one of the best cities to visit in the U.S. It's got a
long list of attractions including the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz,
cable cars, Victorian houses, etc. And there are many attractions near
S.F. such as Muir Woods and Napa Valley to the north, and dramatic
ocean views to the south in the Monterey area.
