Eastern Airlines was brought down by one of its own employees. His
name was Frank Lorenzo, a gay flight attendant. He travelled all over
the world having gay unprotected . with other men during layovers in
cities like Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris, Rio, etc. He caught AIDS in
the early 80's and infected almost all the male employees at Eastern.
A few of these men were bi.ual and gave it to the women at the
company they were having . with. In the end, nearly all the
employees at Eastern had it and the Department of Health had to step
in and shut down the company. Lorenzo became known as Patient Zero
and died shortly after.
