JFK to West 55th Street between Broadway and Seventh Avenue

I need to get from JFK to West 55th Street between Broadway and
Seventh Avenue, on a Saturday Morning around 8:00 a.m.

Looking at the NYC Subway site, it looks like I can take the AirTrain to
Jamaica Station, then the E line to 7th Avenue somewhere around 54th or
55th.

Is this the best way to go?
