Not walking, but the Holiday Inn in Greenbelt, on US 1 at the northern edge of
the Beltway in between I-95 and the BW Parkway, is quite near the Greenbelt
Metro station, and runs free shuttles around the clock. See
http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/6c/1/en/hd/wascb. The walking distance would be
a tad over a mile or so.
