From this I presume you want to be away from most tourist locations. If that
is the case I would recommend the Coastal region of North Carolina. In
particular a little town called Oriental. The town has several B&Bs , and is
located on the Neuse river North Carolina's sailing capitol.
If you require some "night Life" this would not be the location but if you
want to be away from it give it a try.
