Tom spammed to dozens of groups:

And no "after" photos that are immediately obvious. Gosh, what a
strong case was made (NOT!).
Gosh, its also funny how the OP is complaining about some tree trimming
while being absolutely silent about the current controversies regarding
private development. Like the one trying to open a big gambling
Casino.

The reality is that the region was a small town and countryside farms.
To be 100% historically faithful, the NPS would have to be paying
people to farm that land without mechanized equipment.
Similarly, trees grow. If you're trying to be historically faithful
to the size/scale that they were in 1863, just how are you going to
stop the trees from growing?
Personally, I was concerned by the process by which the NPS sized the
property of that fugly huge observation tower, but I am glad that it
did finally come down in July 2000. I can remember the skyline from
before it went up in 1974, and its existence was a constant irritation
to me.

Besides anonymous posters using faked addresses on the Internet?

YMMV; I was just back through there again earlier this month. Getty
has some of the same park management problems as the Smokies do...and
there's no easy answers regardless of what the simpletons try to claim.

Talk certainly is cheap, as this conducting of an anonymous Ad Hominem
attack which speaks volumes - - about disgraceful, cowardly cop-outs.
> ... holding back spending speaks volumes.
No it doesn't. If anything, you play into their hands that way. If
you really wanted to make a difference, you would already be
volunteering your time instead of being an Anonymous Internet Troll
wasting your time grinding your axe like you are being today.
