Most places I've stayed they charged it only at the end. However, at
Caesar's in Vegas, they did the hold amount. I stayed three days for a
conference and the hold amount was the price of one night's stay.
Since they had booked us in pretty nice rooms, the hold amount was a
shocking amount for me!
