Subject: Affordable San Francisco Hotels

A group of students and I will be traveling from home (in Mississippi)
to San Francisco in November for a conference. We will be staying for
about a week and will need at least 4 rooms. We are trying to take as
many students as possible, but money is a definite issue.

The conference is at the Hilton San Francisco (333 O'Farrell Street, I
believe near Union Square), and we are flying into town, so we would
like to be as close to the conference hotel as possible.

Does anyone know the names of some cheap hotels that are nice enough to
live in for a week? Also, if you know any terrible hotels that we
should definately NOT stay in, let me know the names of those as well.
