Yes. The discounts are not much different than AARP or a lot of other
groups, but if you have a flat or locked out of the car, they come save
your arse. Also, maps are free for members, and that is worth $50 a year
anymore. And if you get the extended membership, they will even pay for
your helicopter medivac trip. Buddy had a hard attack at a motel and the
extended AAA membership paid for the helo ride.
