Yup. This is nothing new. Philadelphia charges a small tax on rental
cars to cover the cost of its two new stadiums. Las Vegas charges a tax
on airport rental cars to cover the cost of the airport. Many major
cities have these traveler taxes that help pay for venues that many
travelers (but not all) use. |
