While abstinance may be a very reliable method for avoiding STDs, the
data indicates that trying to teach abstinence simply doesn't work.
As a public health measure, that is about as effective as waiting for
the Starship Enterprise to travel backwards in time so we can avail
ourselves of 24th century medicine.
