It seems like overkill and a lot of hassle for little return
IMO.
The hotel I stayed in had a kitchenette, so I cooked
breakfast. Didn't bother with other meals - prices weren't
too bad at the restaurants.
Bacon, eggs, milk and butter bought from the corner stores
didn't seem particularly expensive compared to the mainland
to me. Certainly not expensive enough to go to that sort of
trouble.
