:) LOL. Not sure the houses in SoCal are much of a bargain compared to what
you're accustomed to in HI.

Everyone's enjoying a good laugh here, but from what I read food is
exhorbitant in HI. We'll have a kitchen and I thought we could save a bit.
Maybe the price of food isn't enough to get bent out of shape about. I tend
to do fine buying food in allegedly "expensive" places like NYC.

OK, a different tack.Where on the big Island should I go for groceries,
fish, etc? We will have a rental car.
