Subject: Re: Hawaii: Legal to bring frozen meat, fruits, veggies? Costco HI prices vs. mainland Cost Posted on: Thu, 26 Apr 2007 19:22:04 +0000 (UTC)

Hey, thanks Mimi. I'll be in Oahu/Waikiki for two days staying at a fancy
$25 hostel. And then it's 7 days at the Hilton Waikaloa Bay Club on the big
island. The whole trip including rental car, flights between islands, one
first-class flight, and one economy flight from LAX is costing us about $550
total. I like nice stuff, but if food was really 3X-4X the cost buying on
the mainland, I'd seek other options.

Sounds like we may be OK after all. Can someone recommend reasonably priced
eats in Waikiki? I'd imagine things are very spendy there.
