Oh, really? What sort of explanation does it require? Does it need to
be in French or English, or will any language do? (You haven't said
what your native language is.)

Personally, I have experienced no such problem at ATM's in Canada upon
going there from the US. I have no idea, therefore, what your problem
has been.

But as far as I'm concerned, I wouldn't worry if I have more than one
credit card and an ATM card. Travelers' checks are not a major asset.
