The Orleans is about 2 miles from the Las Vegas Strip via Tropicana.
However, the Convention Center is another 3 or so miles further on from that
location (Tropicana and the Strip). The Convention Center itself is not
located on the Strip - it is several blocks off of it. And Bobb is correct
in that it can take a long time to walk around LV. You don't just cross
intersections. Many intersections have escalators and overpasses.
