You're better off finding out if that convention offers a discounted
rate at a closer hotel. Check hotels on the north end of the Las Vegas
Strip such as the Stratosphere, Riviera, and the Sahara, all of which
are a short walk from the convention center and usually have fairly low
rates. While you are at it, check
