As a Brit and the exchange rate being so good my recent trip allowed a great
deal of self indulgence so I would always heartily recommend staying right
smack in the middle of Manhattan and just soak it up and hang the expense.
However, you must to do Ellis Island and The Museum Of Natural History
(especially the planetarium - which is simply awesome and your kids will
come out saying wow). They are not expensive. Oh, and the Museum Of Natural
History also has hundreds of dinosaur skeletons - which is always a winner.
