You are correct; 24 hours only.

I suggest a call to Maple Leaf Storage, who have locations all around
Vancouver. Their old downtown location was sold for condos, but they
may still have something available nearby. I have used them before, and
they run a high-quality, professional company. But they may not have
any spaces that are small enough to make economic sense for you.
