Before I get into the things that you asked about specifically, keep in mind
that the Jazz Festival starts on June 28 and is well worth a look even if
you don't like jazz.
Museums
I mostly go for art museums so I don't have too much to recommend but the
Body Worlds is in town until Sept 16. It's being presented at the Montreal
Science Centre which is pretty close by if you're staying in Old Montreal.
Also there's the Canadian Centre for Architecture
Dancing
80s... There's Electric Avenue on the east side of Crescent between Ste
Catherine and de Maisonneuve, there's also Funky Town which I want to say is
on Peel but I'm not quite sure. Cafe Campus has their "Maximum 80s" night on
the first Saturday of every month but I think you'll have left by then.
70s... As in disco? I'm afraid I can't help you out with this one.
Parks
On the island it's pretty easy to find the big ones, just look at the public
transit maps on display in any of the metro stations and find the big green
spots. The biggest that's easily accessible without a car is the park on the
mountain. If you do have a car at your disposal, then check out the Morgan
Arboretum out in the west island. It can also be good for a hike.
Hiking
Head for the mountains (er.. I suppose you'd call 'em hills if you're from
the west).
IMO, the best of google's results for "hiking montreal" was:

Swimming
I assume you're not looking for directions to the YMCA? (Though the one
downtown does have a salt-water swimming pool!). There's a beach at Oka...
most people from around here jump on a plane and fly 4 or 5 hours when they
want a beach. There are plenty of lakes around but most of them are 30-45
min outside the city and the swimming they offer really isn't worth the
drive IMO.
Live Theatre
The Centaur is a theatre in Old Montreal, google 'em and see what's playing.
Beyond that, take a look at The Mirror and The Hour (free weekly newspapers
with an array of articles as well as listings of movies, live music,
theatre, etc.) they're both available all over the downtown area and online.
Hope this helps!
