That second day - Niagara to Omaha - is something like 879 miles air
straightline.

Say you drive 13 hours - that's about 68 miles per hour average. Extremely
ambitious.

Third day - Omaha to Denver - is 485 miles. That quick check of Omaha had
better be very quick - a 60 mph average will take about 8 hours driving.

Fourth day - Denver to Las Vegas - is about 607 miles. 10 hours driving
with a 60 mph average.

Fifth day - Las Vegas to Los Angeles - is about 231 miles....a piece of cake
compared to the earlier days. Figure at 60 mph average, a bit less than
four hours.

Note that these mileages are not road miles, but air miles...so your actual
distance will be somewhat higher.
