Your best bet to get into the city from East Rutherford will be New
Jersey Transit buses. It's about $3 each way and will get you there in
20 minutes provided you avoid the morning/evening rush hours.
www.njtransit.com for time tables. They generally have service until 1
AM.
There are several hotels adjacent to the complex. Visiting teams have
been accused of spying on practice sessions from their hotel rooms.
Be very careful about attempting to purchase Yankee tickets within
several thousand feet of the stadium (unless it's at the stadium ticket
window). It's illegal, and undercover police are out to catch people
during big games such as those against Boston. If you solicit an
undercover officer, they will slap the cuffs on you.
Hope this helps.
