Well I went to Windsor to apply in person. It was rather easy. Though I
was told that I will have to return to the office in person to pick up my
passport. They will not mail it to the USA and won't mail it to a third
party in Canada. That isn't much trouble though. It should be ready by the
end of June, much better than waiting the 12 to 15 weeks for it if I mailed
my application.
The only trouble I had was that the passport photos that I had taken in
the US, they were not acceptable. The Canadian photo standards are more
stringent. I was able to go to a local store in Windsor to have them
re-taken and didn't need to have my guarantor sign them as I already had the
signed set from the US. I guess from now on I will be having the photos
taken in Canada and brought back to the US for the application.
