That's a good idea. As for coverage, we live in New England and don't
generally have problems with TracFone, but there are blind spots just like
there are anywhere. Check their website and decide if one of their more
expensive units that doesn't charge double for out-of area calls is a better
deal for you. It probably isn't if it's just for a few weeks, but if you
call a lot on vacations it may be better. The fifty dollar up-charge over
the basic phone will pay for many minutes even at the double rate.
