I have gotten some great buys in clothing off the bargin racks in the
factory outlets in Lincoln City. Timing is critical. Best time is just
before a holiday weekend. Show up at the wrong time and there is nothing or
picked over junk. Oregon has a wonderful scenic coast with a major highway
running full length. Too cool for swimming. Can be windy in the
afternoons. Oregon has lots to offer a visitor or you could just enjoy
Portland for a few days. It's hard to bargin shop when you are a visitor
however there is no sales tax so you are already saving. The Columbia River
can be a nice drive with Multnomah falls and the sail boarders at Hood
River. Bonneville dam has some nice visitor stuff. I like the Portland
Zoo.
