I know you've been given the link to the US Customs and Border
Protection website. However - individual US embassies have more
detailed information tailored to particular foods of the host country.

The US Embassy in Denmark specifically mentions that rugbr=F8d is OK,
but gravad laks, leverpostej, spege or rullep=F8lse aren't OK. I have
no idea what these are, but they seem to be specific.

In general, I'd say don't bring it. At the very least check with the
US Dept of Agriculture. I would expect that cooked and canned meat
would not be prohibited.
