You should definitely skip the Little Bighorn site. Denver to Yellowstone
is around 500 miles but the side trip to the Little Bighorn site adds
another 200 miles.

I'd suggest the followin itinerary

Denver - Estes Park see Rocky Mountain NP

Estes park to Jackson Hole - see Grand Teton NP
This is more than 500 miles so consider an overnight
stop at Rock Springs and nex day take a side trip to
the reconstructed town of South Pass

Jackson Hole to Yellowstone - try West Yellowstone or Gardiner
for accomodation

Yellowstone to Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City to Moab for Arches NP and Canyonlands NP

Moab to Denver

This is almost 1000 miles shorter than your route and
far more spectacular. Its a route I did 8 years ago
