Hertz San Francisco offered E-320s, but I have not seen an S-Class. Since this
is what my wife drives, I do look for MB autos, when renting. The new E's
might also be available in LA, but I do not know for sure.
Since there are "handheld" GPS units, I'd guess that one of these would be
available at the agency. With the newer MB's, I'd also guess that they'd have
the navigation aid function, though it might have to be activated upon rental.
Since these are DVD driven, they might be standard in the rentals of those
models.
When you get definitive info, please post it for the future. You pose some
good questions.
