I know it's a troll, but I'll play anyway:-)

New York City is impossible to leave off the list.

New Orleans, but I last saw it pre-Katrina, I hope it has
recovered. Nowehere else in the USA had the atmosphere of
the French Quarter at night or the variety of New Orleans.

San Francisco. Fisherman's Wharf, the Golden Gate, and an
easy drive to the beaches or the vineyards.
