For some time now, my wife and I (from England) have been
contemplating taking a Mississippi river cruise on a paddle steamer,
ideally from Nashville to New Orleans. We now think we would like to
take this trip either in the Fall 2009 or Spring 2010.
However, I know that they were planning to scrap the Delta Queen in
November 2008, and from the WWW it appears that the main cruise
operator (Majestic America) has now gone out of business.
Does anyone have any further info on Mississippi cruises or know of an
alternative cruise company with a website? Most websites I have found
are either out of date or merely offer evening "trips round the
harbour" - we have in mind a cruise lasting several days (or longer).
