I tried that a few years back and when I got to Moab Ut I had a dickens of a
time finding a room. I know it's close to Arches NP and all, but with the
number of hotels in the area I didn't expect to have to drive all the way to
Colorado to find a room. Now I always try to make the reservations in the
morning before I set out for the day.
