Motel 6 is mostly company-owned. That's one reason why they have such
an incredible consistency. It's not great, but they all look about
the same and they all tend to be well priced and clean. I suspect
that many of the ones that are franchise locations don't offer the
"Click 6" internet-only rates.
I've been to some places, and there are an incredible number of Indian-
owned motel franchise and independent motels. I've discussed this
with a former friend from India, and apparently there's one heavily
represented state in India where immigrants have saved up and opened
motels in the US. |
