Vegas.com does offer double-the-difference back on the room-rate total
(not on the service fees). Make sure you're comparing the exact same
room type and there are no bonus add-ons (like show discounts or
whatever) included at one website and not the other. And follow all
the other rules of the Vegas.com guarantee to the letter.
About Palace Station, it sits by itself about a mile west of the north
end of the Strip. That's okay if you have a car; if not, you are
pretty isolated from the rest of the Strip. Also they add on an
outrageous $14.99/night "resort fee" which you must pay on check-out.
