I thank everyone for previous advice especially Ingo; An employer has told me he is willing to apply for a H1-B for me next year (for a october 2006 start). He also said he is willing to go through with a green card sponsorship process (and hence control me, for what he said he thought was 3 years, but I understand its more like 4?).
